Delphine Durette-Morin

M.Sc candidate

Delphine obtained a first-class honours BSc in Marine biology and oceanography with a cooperative component from Dalhousie University in 2016, where her honours research focused on comparing visual and acoustic detections of North Atlantic right whales. She is currently working on the completion of a MSc degree in oceanography at Dalhousie University.

Her current research uses a comprehensive network of passive acoustic recorders to map the distribution of North Atlantic right whales in Atlantic Canadian waters and aims to optimise the survey designs of near-real time acoustic autonomous platform to optimally fit the current dynamic management plans implemented by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada.

Her research interests include acoustic communication, marine mammal ecology and conservation, science communication and public outreach.
